R2 received two Gold Awards for the Jornal Arquitectos (Magazine category), and for the logo developed for the audiovisual production company Um Segundo Filmes (Company Logo category). Collecting Collections and Concepts received the Silver Award (Books Category), a project developed within the framework of the programming of Guimarães 2012 – European Capital of Culture.

Before the ceremony, Lizá and Artur gave a lecture on R2’s work methodology and process and also presented their award-winning project, Casa do Conto.

This isn’t the first time that R2 has been distinguished in the ED-Awards competition. In 2011, the agency won first prize for the project developed for the Casa do Conto, a work that resulted in a bas-relief typographical composition in concrete. In 2012, they also received first prize in the exhibition design category, with the project Eduardo Souto Moura – Competitions (1979-2010), exhibited at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto.
